● LinkedIn Ads · Account-based marketing

LinkedIn ABM for the accounts on your list.

You tell us which companies you want to win. We build the list from your CRM, leave your customers out and put LinkedIn ads in front of the people who buy at those companies. Reporting runs by account: which ones saw the ads, which engaged and which deals followed.

How it runs

From your account list to pipeline in the CRM.

Step 01
List

The list starts in your CRM.

We build the target list from HubSpot or Salesforce, add the job titles of the people who buy, and exclude existing customers and partners from every campaign.

Sources: HubSpot or Salesforce accounts · Buyer job titles · Customer exclusions
Step 02
Layers

Each layer gets its own campaign.

One broad campaign lets LinkedIn decide which of your accounts see the ads. We split it: one-to-many ads to the full target list, one-to-one ads for the accounts you want most, and remarketing to the people who have already engaged.

Layers: One-to-many · One-to-one · Remarketing
Step 03
Delivery

We check who saw the ads, company by company.

Every week we look at delivery by company and by job title, and move budget to target accounts that have seen few or no ads. In case 06, 67.7% of all impressions landed on companies on the target list, and 85.6% of the spend reached senior, manager and director roles.

Checks: Delivery by company · Delivery by job title · Accounts with few impressions
Step 04
Pipeline

Deals in your CRM are the measure.

Pipeline stages from your CRM go back to LinkedIn as conversions, so the campaigns are judged on opportunities and closed-won deals. We report which target accounts saw the ads before a deal was created, and we say whether a figure is attributed or influenced pipeline.

Reporting: HubSpot · Salesforce · Dreamdata · LinkedIn revenue attribution

Fit

What an ABM programme needs from you.

We take an account-based programme on when these three are in place. Without them, the ads don't have a list to aim at or deals to be measured against.

Account list

Companies your sales team wants.

The accounts you want to win, in your CRM, with existing customers marked. A list of a hundred companies works, and so does a short list of named accounts.

CRM

Deals recorded against companies.

HubSpot, Salesforce or similar, with opportunities linked to the company they belong to. That link is what lets us report pipeline account by account.

Budget

€5k a month in media or more.

At least €5k a month on LinkedIn, ideally €15k or more when the list is long or the buying group is large. Our retainer comes on top of the media.

Questions

What people ask us about LinkedIn ABM.

Do you run account-based marketing on LinkedIn for enterprise software?

Yes. Our LinkedIn work is built around account lists from your CRM, existing customers excluded, one-to-one or one-to-few layers for named accounts, and reporting by account. One of the two founders runs the programme end to end. The cases on this page are an enterprise AI software company in DACH, a developer API company in the US and Europe, and a public-procurement intelligence company in the UK.

How many accounts can be on the list?

There's no fixed number. In case 06 the one-to-many layer ran on the top 100 of the client's target list and the one-to-one layer on 13 named accounts. A very short list can be too small for LinkedIn to serve, so we check the audience size LinkedIn reports before anything launches.

How do you measure an ABM programme on LinkedIn?

On deals in your CRM. Pipeline stages go back to LinkedIn as conversions, and we report which target accounts saw the ads before an opportunity was created. Attributed pipeline is the part an attribution model credits to the ads; influenced pipeline counts deals at accounts that saw the ads first. We always say which of the two a figure is, and which tool measured it: Dreamdata, HubSpot or LinkedIn's revenue attribution report.

How long until an ABM programme shows pipeline?

Delivery shows in the first weeks: which accounts see the ads and which job titles engage. Pipeline follows your sales cycle. In case 06, by the end of the 41-day project, eight target accounts that had seen the ads had open deals worth $820k. Case 05 is measured over six months; its sales cycles run six months and more.

Can our own team run it later?

Yes. In case 09 we built the programme and handed it over to the client's team in a training session in April. Six months later, seven of the eight campaigns we built were still running, and LinkedIn's revenue attribution report credited them with $771k of open pipeline and $82.6k closed-won.

Is LinkedIn ABM priced separately from LinkedIn Ads?

No. It runs inside the LinkedIn retainer, from €2,400 a month, billed at €150 an hour for the hours we work, or as a project for a set period, like the 41 days of case 06. Media starts at €5k a month and goes to LinkedIn directly, and we don't add a markup.

30-min intro call

Which accounts do you want in pipeline next quarter?

Bring your target list, or the companies you would put on it. On the call we'll tell you how we would split it into layers and whether your sales cycle suits an account-based programme. You speak with the founder who would run it.
